Chelan County Jail Roster: Verify Custody at the Regional Justice Center First

Use the Chelan County Regional Justice Center’s official inmate list to check present county-jail custody. The jail is a regional facility in Wenatchee, so the arresting agency, the county operating the jail, and the court handling the case may be different organizations.

Regional jail distinction: the Chelan County Board of County Commissioners owns and operates the jail. The facility also contracts with Douglas County and the cities of East Wenatchee, Wenatchee, Cashmere, Entiat, Leavenworth and Chelan. A person housed here therefore may have been arrested by another agency or may have a case in another participating court.

Custody, Arrest and Court Are Three Different Questions

Custody

Regional Justice Center

The jail decides whether the person is currently housed in the county facility and provides the official inmate list.

Arresting agency

Sheriff, city police or partner agency

The agency that made the arrest may be Chelan County Sheriff, a city police department or another contracting jurisdiction. That agency may own the incident report.

Legal case

The court of record

Chelan County Superior or District Court may handle many local cases, but the regional jail also facilitates appearances for Douglas County courts and East Wenatchee Municipal Court.

How to Search the Chelan County Jail Roster

Open the County-Operated Inmate List

Start with the Regional Justice Center page, not a copied mugshot site or paid people-search form. The public search provides last-name and first-name fields.

Search the Legal Last Name First

Use the first name to narrow the match. If no result appears, try a former surname, maiden name, hyphenated form or likely spelling variation before concluding the person is not housed there.

Match More Than the Name

The list displays an inmate ID, name, age and birth date. Compare multiple identifiers to avoid confusing people who share a similar name.

Use the “Get Notified” Route When Needed

The official list includes a Get Notified column. Use the notification link attached to the correct official roster entry rather than registering from an unrelated third-party page.

Move to Washington Courts for the Case

The roster establishes county-jail custody. Use the court search for case number, court routing and court-date information, and obtain the official record from the court of record when legal reliance matters.

Refresh Before Paying or Traveling

Custody can change after release, transfer, court action or another hold. Reopen the county roster and verify the specific task before paying bail, funding an account, scheduling a visit or driving to Wenatchee.

What the Official Roster Shows — and What It Does Not Prove

The public result list reviewed for this refresh displays the inmate ID, name, age, birth date and a notification option. Chelan County cites RCW 70.48.100 for maintaining a public jail register with confinement and discharge information.

Separate identity and custody data from the court’s legal record.
InformationWhat it helps confirmWhat it does not prove
Inmate IDThe jail’s identifier for matching the correct custody record. It is not automatically the criminal court case number.
NameThe name under which the person is listed in the jail register.A name-only match is not enough when identities are similar.
Age / birth dateHelps distinguish people with similar names. It does not describe the court outcome or sentence.
Current listingThe county is publicly showing the person in the current inmate list.It does not guarantee the person will remain housed there later that day.
Cause / case informationCan help route you toward the criminal matter connected with confinement.A booking allegation is not a conviction or final disposition.
Notification linkProvides a supported route for custody-status notifications when available for that entry.A notification system should not replace direct verification for an urgent decision.
Do not turn a custody record into a verdict. Arrest is not conviction. A booking allegation is not the final filed charge. A warrant is not proof of present incarceration. A screenshot can become stale after a release or transfer.

Bail, Bond and Release: Verify the Amount Before Bringing Cash

Direct jail payment

Cash and Full Amount

The current Regional Justice Center visitation page states that bail may be paid through a local bail bondsman or directly to the jail. Bail money paid directly to the jail must be cash and paid in full.

Before payment

Recheck Every Hold

A listed bail amount does not guarantee immediate release. Court changes, another warrant, a detainer or release processing can affect whether payment results in discharge.

Court record

Use the Court for Legal Status

Washington Courts says its statewide search is reference material rather than the official record. For a legally important bail or case issue, verify with the court of record.

Pickup

Do Not Promise a Release Time

The accessible current county pages reviewed here do not publish a guaranteed public release window. Confirm actual release status with the facility before arranging transportation.

Chelan County Courts and Warrant Routing

The Regional Justice Center can house people whose matters are in different courts. For Chelan County cases, the Washington court directory lists Superior Court at 401 Washington Street, Floor 5, and District Court at 350 Orondo Avenue, Floor 4, both in Wenatchee.

Warrant is not custody. Chelan County Sheriff’s published warrant guidance directs misdemeanor-warrant questions to Chelan County District Court. For other warrant concerns, it directs people to an attorney or the Regional Justice Center. Do not treat a court case, old warrant reference or third-party warrant page as proof that someone is currently incarcerated.

Current Chelan County Jail Visitation: Video Daily, In-Person Limited

Video visitation

GettingOut: 8 a.m.–11 p.m. Daily

The county says video visits can be scheduled through the GettingOut app between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. daily. Two lobby monitors provide free video access for people without a computer, but registration and scheduling are still required.

In-person visitation

Wednesday or Saturday by Appointment

In-person visits are currently limited to Wednesday 8–9 p.m. and Saturday 2–3 p.m.. An incarcerated person is allowed one in-person visit per week across those two days.

Phone, Tablet and Commissary Accounts Use Different Services

Phone / Tablet Communication

The county’s phone and commissary page directs communication services to GettingOut and lists 1-866-516-0115. Money can be applied to telephone services by phone, internet or the jail-lobby kiosk.

The visitation page also explains a three-minute voicemail option through GettingOut after an account is funded.

Trust / Commissary

For inmate trust and commissary, Chelan County directs users to ConnectNetwork and lists 1-877-650-4249. The jail says deposits can be made by phone, internet, U.S. mail or lobby kiosk.

Keep phone/tablet funds and trust/commissary funds separate; choose the account type that matches the task before paying.

Do not assume old vendor instructions are current. The county’s account page was updated December 18, 2025 and currently points phone/tablet users to GettingOut and trust/commissary users to ConnectNetwork. Reopen that page before funding an account.

2026 Mail Change: Incarcerated People No Longer Receive Physical Personal Mail Directly

Chelan County’s June 2026 jail FAQ says the facility changed its mailroom policy because of narcotics being introduced through soaked correspondence. Physical personal mail is now scanned and made available digitally on a tablet instead of being handed to the incarcerated person.

Do not blindly use an older 401 Washington Street personal-mail instruction. A 2024 jail handout predates this 2026 mailroom change. The current accessible county FAQ reviewed for this refresh confirms scanning but does not expose a replacement personal-mail destination in its searchable text. Call 509-667-6462 and confirm the current mailing address and format before sending personal correspondence, photos, money orders or publications.

Personal Mail

Confirm the current scanning address and required inmate identifier directly with CCRJC before mailing. Do not send an irreplaceable original when the current process is digital scanning.

Legal Mail

Legal correspondence can follow different handling rules from ordinary personal mail. Attorneys and courts should confirm the current legal-mail procedure directly with the facility rather than applying the personal-mail scanning rule automatically.

Medical and Mental-Health Concerns

Chelan County’s current 2026 FAQ says the jail has 24-hour nursing coverage, a seven-person medical team, medical-sensor cells and intake screening procedures designed to identify people who need hospital clearance or closer monitoring. Those operational details explain why a very recent arrest may not move through intake at the same pace as another booking.

Urgent Concern About Someone in Custody

Call the Regional Justice Center at 509-667-6462 and ask for the appropriate medical or supervisory route. Staff may be limited in what protected health information they can disclose to family members.

Do Not Infer Treatment From the Roster

A missing, delayed or changed public roster entry does not establish a diagnosis, medical condition or treatment status. Use the facility for custody questions and qualified health professionals for medical decisions.

Ask the Office That Actually Owns the Record

Chelan County separates Regional Jail records, Sheriff records and court records. Sending every request to the Sheriff can delay a request that actually belongs to the jail or court.

You needCorrect starting pointUseful identifier
Jail / detention recordChelan County Public Records → Regional Jail; jail Records line 509-667-6283Inmate ID, legal name, date range, record type

District Court recordChelan County District CourtCase number, party name, document or hearing
State criminal historyWashington State Patrol criminal-history system, not a normal jail-roster requestFollow the state system’s identity requirements

The county’s public-record policy says the responsible department will take one of several actions within five business days of receiving a request: make records available, provide a link, give a reasonable time estimate, seek clarification or deny the request in whole or part. That is a response requirement, not a promise that every requested record will be produced within five days.

Booking photos: the current public result list reviewed for this article does not display a mugshot field in the list view. Do not promise a “free Chelan mugshot lookup” from a third-party directory. If a booking photograph is genuinely needed, ask the Regional Jail records office whether the specific image is releasable under current Washington law and county policy.

Sentenced Alternative Programs Are a Separate Path From Pretrial Custody

Chelan County offers Work Release, electronic/satellite home monitoring and related alternative programs for qualifying people who have already been sentenced and approved by the sentencing court. These programs are not an automatic way to leave pretrial detention.

Start Within 72 Hours of Sentencing Approval

The county directs an approved person to call program staff at 509-667-6615 within 72 hours. The published application process may take six to eight working days.

Court Approval Does Not Guarantee Program Acceptance

Eligibility can depend on jail classification, risk assessment, criminal history, prior program involvement and other program criteria. Existing jail fees must be paid before acceptance.

Current published alternative-program fees reviewed in October 2026.
Program chargePublished amount
Processing fee$60
Booking fee$75
Work Release$20 per day
Electronic Home Monitoring$15 per day
Alcohol Monitoring$15 per day
Alcohol Monitoring with another program$25 per day
School Release$15 per day

Recheck eligibility, forms and fees with program staff before relying on these figures; court orders and program rules control the individual case.

When Chelan County Is Not the Final Custody System

Washington state

Washington DOC

Use the DOC Incarcerated Search after a state-corrections transfer. It supports name and DOC-number searches and shows the current location when public.

Regional custody

Douglas County / East Wenatchee Cases

CCRJC’s regional contracts mean a person can be housed in Wenatchee while the case or arresting agency points to Douglas County or East Wenatchee. Follow the court shown by Washington Courts rather than assuming Chelan County court jurisdiction.

Federal

Federal BOP

Use the BOP Inmate Locator when federal prison custody is relevant. A federal charge does not necessarily mean the person has already entered a BOP facility.

Use a Jail Roster as Current Custody Information, Not a Criminal Verdict

  • Match more than a name before identifying a person.
  • An arrest, confinement entry or allegation is not a conviction.
  • A court record controls filed charges and legal outcomes; the statewide search itself is reference material, not the official court record.
  • A warrant or active court case does not prove present incarceration.
  • Refresh the official roster before paying, visiting, mailing or arranging transportation.
  • Do not use public custody information for harassment, stalking, threats, intimidation or public shaming.

Chelan County Jail Roster FAQs

How do I search the official Chelan County jail roster?

Open the Chelan County Regional Justice Center’s official Jail Registry / Inmate List. Search by last name and first name, then compare the inmate ID, age and birth date before deciding that a result is the correct person.

Who operates the Chelan County Regional Justice Center?

Chelan County’s current jail FAQ says the facility is owned and operated by the Chelan County Board of County Commissioners. It is a regional jail that also contracts with Douglas County and several cities, so the arresting agency and court may differ from the jail operator.

Why might someone arrested in East Wenatchee appear in the Chelan County jail roster?

The Regional Justice Center contracts with Douglas County and the City of East Wenatchee, and it facilitates appearances for Douglas County courts and East Wenatchee Municipal Court. Housing in Wenatchee therefore does not automatically mean the criminal case belongs to a Chelan County court.

What should I do if a recently arrested person is not on the roster?

Recheck the legal name and allow for booking, transport or medical-clearance processing. If current custody is urgent, call the Regional Justice Center booking route at 509-667-6462 or 509-667-6616. Then use Washington Courts if a case exists but no jail entry appears.

How can bail be paid at Chelan County Regional Justice Center?

The jail’s current visitation page says bail can be handled through a local bail bondsman or paid directly to the jail. Money paid directly to the jail must be cash and paid in full. Verify the current bail amount and all holds before bringing money.

When are Chelan County Jail video and in-person visits?

Video visits can be scheduled through GettingOut from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily. In-person visits are limited to Wednesday 8–9 p.m. and Saturday 2–3 p.m. by appointment, with one in-person visit per incarcerated person per week.

How do I put money on a Chelan County inmate account?

The county currently directs phone/tablet communication funding to GettingOut and trust/commissary services to ConnectNetwork. Deposits can be made through supported phone, internet, mail or lobby-kiosk channels. Verify which account you are funding before paying.

Where do I send personal mail to a Chelan County inmate in 2026?

Do not rely on an old mailing instruction without checking first. Chelan County says its 2026 policy now scans physical personal mail for tablet viewing rather than handing it directly to the incarcerated person. The current searchable county FAQ does not provide the replacement scanning destination, so call 509-667-6462 for the current address and format before mailing.

Where do I check a Chelan County inmate’s court date or final case outcome?

Use Washington Courts Name and Case Search to identify the court and case. Chelan County Superior Court records may route through the Odyssey Portal. For an official or complete record, contact the court of record or Chelan County Clerk as appropriate.

Where should I search after a transfer out of Chelan County Jail?

Use Washington DOC Incarcerated Search for state-corrections custody. Use the federal BOP locator when federal prison custody is relevant. Because CCRJC is regional, also verify whether the case or agency points to Douglas County or another contracting jurisdiction.
