Baker County Jail Roster 2026: Inmate Search & Mugshots

Baker County • Baker City • Oregon inmate guide

Use the New Sheriff-Linked Roster—not the Old 2020 Jail List

Baker County Sheriff now links a current jail roster hosted through JusticeConnect. That should be your first online custody source.

An older Sheriff “Daily Inmate Listing” is still indexed online with an April 19, 2020 date. This guide separates the two systems so you do not mistake a historical page for current custody.

Baker County Now Has a Sheriff-Linked Current Jail Roster

The Baker County Sheriff Corrections page now contains a direct Jail Roster link to the Baker County JusticeConnect roster.

Use First: JusticeConnect

This is the roster endpoint currently linked from the official Sheriff Corrections page.

Do Not Use for Current Custody: Old HTML List

The older Daily Inmate Listing remains online but visibly shows April 19, 2020.

Use for Older Booking Records

Sheriff Records Division can process jail-record and other supported records requests.

Use for the Legal Case

Oregon Judicial Department controls the current court docket, hearings and judgments.

Important: if another website still tells you that Baker County has no current online roster, that guidance is now outdated.

Start from the official Baker County Sheriff Corrections page or go directly to the Sheriff-linked roster.

This Guide Covers Baker County, Oregon

“Baker County jail roster” can also return Baker County, Florida and Baker County, Georgia. These instructions apply only to Baker City, Oregon.

How to Search the Current Baker County Jail Roster

1

Open the Sheriff-Linked JusticeConnect Roster

Use the roster linked directly from Baker County Sheriff’s current Corrections page.

2

Check the Correct Person Carefully

Compare the inmate name with age, sex, booking information and any available file or booking identifiers.

3

Use the Grid Controls

The current roster presents sortable roster columns and a View control. Use the available controls rather than assuming an old alphabetical HTML table is still the active system.

4

Check Booked and Scheduled Release Separately

A booked date tells you when the displayed jail admission was recorded. A scheduled-release field, when populated, should not be treated as a guaranteed lobby-exit time.

5

Do Not Assume an Image Will Always Appear

The current grid contains an Image column, but Oregon booking-photo law can restrict public release.

6

Switch Sources Before Acting

Call the jail for urgent physical-custody or release questions and use Oregon court records for the legal case.

Open the current Baker County JusticeConnect jail roster .

What the Current Baker County Roster Can Show

The current Baker County JusticeConnect grid exposes the following top-level fields. Do not add generic national-jail fields that the Baker interface does not actually show.

Current field What it helps confirm What not to assume
Jail Booking Key Internal booking-related identifier in the roster system. It is the same as a court case number.
Booking Number The booking identifier associated with the displayed jail entry. It is an Oregon DOC SID.
File Number Another roster-system identifier. It automatically matches the Circuit Court case number.
Charge Status A status field associated with the current roster record. It replaces the official court docket or final disposition.
Image The grid has a dedicated image field. Every detainee will have a publicly displayed booking photograph.
Inmate Name The booked name attached to the current jail record. A same-name result proves identity without checking other fields.
Age Helps separate people with similar names. Age alone is sufficient identity verification.
Sex Another roster identification field. It should be unnecessarily copied into unrelated public posts.
Booked When the displayed jail booking was recorded. It is always identical to the arrest time.
Scheduled Release A scheduled or projected release field when populated. Release is guaranteed at that exact time.

Booking information is not a conviction. Court filings and outcomes can change after the jail record is created.

Why the April 2020 Daily Inmate Listing Still Matters

The old Sheriff HTML roster is still useful for understanding why older Google results, cached snippets and commercial jail pages may show different fields or status-code instructions.

The page visibly says Sunday, April 19, 2020 and includes old-style fields for inmate name, DOB, arrest date, booking number, offense, numerical status and court.

Historical Status-Code Legend

Code Old page label
0 Not Filed
1 Pre-Arraign
2 Pre-Trial
3 Pre-Sentenced
4 Sentenced
5 Outside Hold
6 Parole Hold
7 Forced Release
8 Sentence / Sanction Served

Historical only: do not apply these 2020 status labels to a person’s current 2026 custody or court situation.

Use the Current Sheriff Press Log as an Incident Clue—not a Jail Roster

Baker County Sheriff maintains a current CAD Press Log archive with daily PDFs. The archive was actively posting August 2026 logs during this audit.

When the Press Log Helps

  • You believe law enforcement activity occurred very recently.
  • You need the approximate incident date or location.
  • You want to identify whether BCSO, Baker City Police, Oregon State Police or another responder handled the event.
  • You need an incident clue before requesting a report.

What the Press Log Does Not Prove

  • That the subject was arrested.
  • That the subject was booked into Baker County Jail.
  • That the person remains in custody.
  • That a criminal charge was filed in Circuit Court.

Best workflow: Press Log for an event clue → current JusticeConnect roster for custody → Circuit Court for the legal case.

Use the Baker County Sheriff CAD Press Log archive when recent activity is relevant.

Baker County Mugshots Are Not Automatically Public

Baker County’s current JusticeConnect roster includes an Image column. That does not mean every person will have a publicly viewable booking photo.

Oregon ORS 133.870 Restricts Booking-Photo Release

Oregon law generally prevents a law-enforcement agency from releasing a booking photo except in specified circumstances.

Those statutory routes include release to the person depicted, certain law-enforcement uses, a victim, a party in the criminal proceeding, the court, a qualifying licensed investigator and certain conviction-related circumstances.

A $5 booking-photo fee does not guarantee that the Sheriff can legally release the photograph to every requester.

Why the Sheriff Still Lists “Booking Photo — $5”

Baker County’s Records Division fee schedule includes booking photographs at $5 per copy. The fee applies when a record is releasable; Oregon disclosure law still controls whether it can be provided.

Safer Booking-Photo Request

“I am requesting the booking photograph associated with [full legal name] and a booking occurring approximately on [date]. Please let me know whether the photograph is releasable under Oregon law and what current fee applies.”

For the current statute, use Oregon Revised Statutes Chapter 133 .

How to Request Baker County Jail and Sheriff Records

Baker County Sheriff provides a two-page Public Records Request form. The current form includes checkboxes for Records Check, Booking Photo, Jail Records, Call Logs, Report, Contact Overview, Photograph CD and 911 Audio.

Information the Form Asks For

  • Requester name and contact information.
  • Record type.
  • Reason for the request, stated specifically.
  • Date/time of incident.
  • Case number when known.
  • Type or nature of incident.
  • Incident location.
  • Subject name.
  • Subject date of birth.
  • Relationship to the subject.
  • Whether the record is needed for court.
  • Pickup, mail or email delivery preference.

Baker County Sheriff Records Fee Helper

This tool reproduces the fee schedule displayed by Baker County Sheriff. It does not submit a request, determine whether a record is legally releasable or calculate staff/research costs that may apply outside the listed base schedule.

Select a record type. Page count matters for reports and jail records.

Booking-photo requests: a calculated $5 fee means only that the Sheriff lists a $5 booking-photo charge. Oregon law may still prevent public release.

Verify Baker County Bail and Release Directly

The current official Baker Sheriff pages reviewed for this article do not publish a complete public step-by-step bail-payment table comparable to some larger Oregon counties.

For that reason, this guide does not copy a commercial bail percentage or assume that every case uses the same payment route.

Before Paying Anything

  • Confirm the person remains in Baker County custody.
  • Identify the correct court case.
  • Ask what release requirement currently applies.
  • Ask whether an outside hold, warrant or supervision issue exists.
  • Confirm where the payment must be made.
  • Confirm accepted payment methods.
  • Ask whether satisfying the requirement makes the person release-eligible.
  • Confirm actual release before arranging a long pickup drive.

Release Verification Script

“I’m trying to verify current release information for [full legal name]. Is the person still in Baker County custody, what current release requirement applies, is another hold involved, and where should an authorized payment be made?”

OJD ePay is a court-payment service. Do not assume a court fine payment is the same transaction as release security or bail.

Not every case is public online. Oregon specifically restricts remote access to categories including certain adoption, juvenile, mental-health and VAWA-related records.

Use the official Baker County Circuit Court page and Oregon Find a Case or Court Record .

Confirm Baker County Jail Visitation Before You Travel

Commercial jail websites publish detailed Baker County visitation hours, visit duration and visitor-count rules, but a matching current schedule was not found on the Baker Sheriff pages audited for this article.

Do not publish a third-party schedule as an official current Sheriff schedule.

Baker County Jail Phone Rules

Baker County’s currently hosted inmate-rules material says telephones are available in jail housing units.

Published Rules

  • Jail phones are for outgoing calls.
  • They do not accept ordinary incoming calls.
  • Calls may be monitored or recorded.
  • The document identifies Telmate / GettingOut for telephone and inmate-account services.
  • The provider telephone listed is 866-516-0115.
  • A citizen may request that a telephone number be blocked from inmate calls.

Source-Age Warning

The PDF remains linked from the current Baker County Sheriff site, but its underlying document title indicates it originated from an older jail-information document.

Verify before paying: use the current Sheriff page or call the jail before sending funds to a communication provider, because vendor contracts can change.

Review the Sheriff-hosted inmate rules .

Baker County Jail Mailing Address and the ZIP-Code Typo

The inmate-rules PDF instructs users to address inmate mail to Baker County Jail at 3410 K Street, but the PDF visibly prints an apparent malformed ZIP as “907814.”

Current Baker County Sheriff pages consistently use 97814, so this guide uses the current Sheriff address:

INMATE’S NAME
Baker County Jail
3410 K Street
Baker City, OR 97814

Return Address Requirement

The Sheriff PDF requires incoming correspondence to include the sender’s first and last name, complete street address, city, state and ZIP code.

Do Not Hand-Deliver Ordinary Mail

The published rules state that mail or notes may not simply be left at the jail for an inmate; correspondence must arrive through U.S. Mail.

Baker County Jail Prohibited-Mail Rules

The Sheriff-hosted PDF says the jail does not edit prohibited material out of a letter; the entire correspondence can be rejected.

Published restriction Practical takeaway
Victim contact without court authorization Do not use jail mail to bypass a no-contact or court order.
Inmate-to-inmate correspondence without authorization Do not assume correspondence between correctional facilities is allowed.
Threats or criminal activity Threatening or unlawful content can be rejected and create additional problems.
Contraband or escape material Do not discuss methods of defeating jail security.
Coded or gang-related material Keep correspondence ordinary and readable.
Sexually explicit mail Explicit content can cause rejection.
Packages Do not use ordinary mail as a property-delivery method.
Polaroids or 9+ 4 × 6 photos Follow the published photo quantity/type limit.
Stamps, stickers, labels, calling cards and stationery Do not place loose account or stationery items inside the envelope.
Padded, musical, glittered or complex cards Use simple searchable paper correspondence.
Food, clothing, cardboard and other non-paper material Mail is not a general property channel.
Perfume, glue, tape, paint, crayon, metallic ink or foreign substances Keep the letter and envelope plain.
Electronic media Do not send CDs, cassettes, computer disks or similar storage media.
Personal checks, business checks, cashier’s checks and money orders Do not fund an inmate account through ordinary inmate mail.

Baker County Inmate Account and Commissary Funding

The Sheriff-hosted inmate rules identify Telmate / GettingOut as the service for adding inmate funds for calls or commissary use.

Published Provider Information

  • Provider named in the Sheriff document: Telmate.
  • Website referenced: GettingOut payment platform.
  • Toll-free provider telephone: 866-516-0115.
  • The document says funds can be added online.
  • Money placed in the inmate account can be used for calls or commissary under the published instructions.

Inmate account funds are not bail or a court payment.

Vendor verification: because the underlying inmate-rules document is older, confirm the currently contracted provider before entering debit or credit-card information.

Use Oregon VISOR When You Need Custody Status or Alerts

VISOR is Oregon’s Victim Information System and can search individuals currently in custody or under supervision.

Ways to Search

  • Full name
  • Partial name
  • State SID number
  • County ID number

Partial-Name Tip

VISOR recommends trying the first few letters of the first name and the first few letters of the last name when spelling is uncertain.

Notifications

You can request supported notifications with or without creating an account. Baker County’s Sheriff page lists examples including transfer, release, advanced-release notice, death in custody, legal-name change, escape, recapture and return to custody.

VISOR support: 855-691-6246 .

Open Oregon VISOR .

VISOR is not an official certified record. The service itself states that information can change and should not be used as an official law-enforcement record.

Use Oregon Offender Search After a State-Custody Transfer

Baker County’s Corrections page says the county jail holds people awaiting trial and people sentenced to periods of less than one year, among other local custody categories.

If sentencing or transfer moves the person into Oregon Department of Corrections custody, use Oregon Offender Search.

Open Oregon Offender Search .

Need an official or certified DOC record? Oregon DOC says official or certified offender records require a Public Records Request rather than relying solely on the public offender-search screen.

Use Baker County Booking Information Responsibly

  • Do not treat an arrest or booking as proof of guilt.
  • Use the current JusticeConnect roster rather than the April 2020 page.
  • Do not treat an old booking photo as proof of present custody.
  • Do not assume an Image column means the photo is legally releasable.
  • Do not treat a scheduled release as a guaranteed pickup time.
  • Do not copy sensitive DOB or family information unnecessarily.
  • Do not use booking records to harass, threaten, shame or stalk a person.
  • Do not contact a victim in violation of a no-contact order.
  • Do not send money through an unverified advertisement or social-media account.

Is the April 2020 Baker County Daily Inmate Listing still current?

No. The old Sheriff page remains accessible but visibly shows Sunday, April 19, 2020. It can explain older search results and status codes, but it should not be used as proof of current custody.

What information does the current Baker County roster show?

The current JusticeConnect grid includes Jail Booking Key, Booking Number, File Number, Charge Status, Image, Inmate Name, Age, Sex, Booked and Scheduled Release fields.

What is the correct Baker County Jail mailing ZIP code?

Current Baker County Sheriff pages use 3410 K Street, Baker City, OR 97814. The Sheriff-hosted inmate-rules PDF contains an apparent malformed ZIP, so use the current official 97814 address.
