Navarro County Jail Roster: Find Current Custody and Booking Records
For someone arrested or held in Navarro County, start with the Navarro County Sheriff’s Office Inmate Roster. The county detention center is at 312 W. 2nd Ave. in Corsicana, and the Sheriff’s site links directly to its separate live roster system.
If the arrest is very recent, the roster will not load, or the person’s current status affects an immediate decision, call the Sheriff’s 24-hour number at 903-654-3001. The current official pages do not publish a guaranteed roster-refresh interval, so this guide does not describe the list as “real-time” or promise a particular daily update time.

Which Official System Answers Your Question?
Navarro County uses separate systems for jail custody, criminal court records, Sheriff’s records and state or federal custody. Use the source that owns the record instead of expecting one inmate-search page to answer everything.
Current county-jail custody
Use the Navarro County Sheriff’s inmate-roster page and its live roster link.
Felony or district-court record
Use the Navarro County District Clerk’s public-access search and verify the court shown in the case record.
County criminal record
The County Clerk maintains Class A and B misdemeanor records and provides a public criminal/civil/family/probate search route.
Sheriff report or jail-related record
Use the Sheriff’s written public-record request process rather than a court search.
Texas prison custody
After a transfer into the Texas Department of Criminal Justice system, use TDCJ rather than the Navarro County roster.
Federal custody
Use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator only when federal custody is genuinely relevant.
How to Search the Navarro County Jail Roster
- Open the Navarro County Sheriff’s inmate-roster page.
Confirm that the browser is on the official Sheriff’s domain before following its roster link. - Follow the official live-roster link.
The Sheriff currently routes users to a dedicated roster at jailroster.ncsotx.org. - Use only the search controls actually displayed by the live system.
Enter accurate identifying information. If the system supports name variations or other filters, use them carefully rather than guessing at someone’s identity. - Match the person using more than a similar name.
Compare any booking number, age/date information, arrest date, charge, bond or agency field that the live result provides. - Verify anything time-sensitive.
If the arrest is recent, a release may have occurred, or the online roster does not answer the question, call 903-654-3001.
How to Read Navarro County Booking Information
The exact fields shown by the live roster should control how you read a specific record. The table below explains common custody concepts without claiming that every label appears on every Navarro County result.
| Record item | What it generally means | What not to assume |
|---|---|---|
| Booking number | A jail identifier connected with a particular custody record. | It is the same identifier used by every court or state agency. |
| Booking / admit date | The date associated with intake into the detention system when displayed. | It is always the exact time of arrest or alleged offense. |
| Charge | An allegation or legal hold associated with the booking. | A charge is a conviction or final court disposition. |
| Bond | May describe release security ordered or recorded in the case. | An old displayed amount is still payable or that payment guarantees immediate release. |
| Arresting agency | The law-enforcement agency associated with the arrest when shown. | The arresting agency remains the person’s current custodian. |
| Release status | May indicate that county-jail custody has ended. | Release from Navarro County proves the person is not held by another agency. |
What to Do When No Navarro County Inmate Appears
Bond and Court Records in Navarro County
The Sheriff’s FAQ identifies five possible release routes: own recognizance, the Pre-Trial Release Program, a private bonding company, a Property Bond, or a Cash Bond. Which route is available depends on the actual order and case.
Navarro County’s Court Routing Is Not One-Size-Fits-All
The 13th District Court is Navarro County’s general-jurisdiction district court. The county also has a County Court at Law, and official county material shows that its criminal jurisdiction can overlap with other courts in some matters. Follow the actual court name in the case rather than assuming the court solely from the charge description.

For a bond question, first confirm current custody and the exact court/case. A roster screenshot taken earlier in the day should not override a later court order or custody change.
Navarro County Jail Visitation
The Sheriff’s current jail page says visitation is conducted seven days a week. People housed in general population receive two 30-minute visits per week, while people housed in holding cells receive three 30-minute visits while they remain in holding.
You must create a visitation account before seeing an inmate. Navarro County directs visitors to the NCIC scheduling system.
Identification and minors
A valid state- or government-issued ID is required. A visitor under 17 may not visit unless accompanied by a legal guardian.
Lobby restrictions
Cell phones are prohibited inside the Detention Center lobby and during visitation. Visitors under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted.
Dress rules
The Sheriff requires shirts and shoes and prohibits items such as spaghetti straps, tank tops, tube tops, sleeveless shirts, short-shorts, mini-skirts and clothing with profane or sexually explicit language.
Attorney visits
Attorneys must present government identification and a current Bar Card. The Sheriff states that attorney visits are not allowed from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. because those are feeding periods.
Calls, NCIC Accounts and Electronic Messages
During booking, the Sheriff says an inmate may make three free local calls. The booking phone can also make collect calls outside the local dialing area.
After the person reaches population, calls can be made between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. Calls are subject to monitoring or recording. Navarro County uses NCIC for prepaid services and account support at 1-800-943-2189.
Electronic Messaging
The jail page also directs families to NCIC for electronic messages, photos and documents. At the time of this source review, Navarro County’s page publishes $0.25 per message and $0.35 per picture/document. Because vendor pricing can change, check the current NCIC screen before purchasing.

Property Release, Court Clothing and Healthcare Questions
Personal Property
Property is inventoried and stored when a person is booked. According to the Sheriff’s current rules, an inmate may release property while in holding. After that, property normally may be released after sentencing, except when releasing property would help secure the person’s release.
The person collecting property must have valid photo identification.
Clothing for a Jury Trial
Civilian clothing for a jail inmate going to court for a jury trial may be accepted at Master Control Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.. A contact person’s name and phone number must accompany the clothing.
The clothing must be picked up within 10 business days after the court case ends. The Sheriff’s page says unclaimed clothing is donated to a local charity after that period.
Healthcare Information
The jail states that staff and contractors will not discuss an inmate’s healthcare with family or friends because of medical-privacy requirements. Do not expect custody staff to disclose another person’s diagnosis or treatment simply because you are a relative.
If you need to pass along urgent health information, call the facility and ask for the current process rather than mailing medication or medical documents without instructions.
Arrest Reports, Jail Records, Court Records and Mugshots
The Sheriff’s Office, County Clerk and District Clerk maintain different records. Sending every request to the same office can delay the answer.
| Record you need | Start with | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Current custody | Sheriff inmate roster | This is the county’s direct custody route. |
| Sheriff incident/arrest record | Navarro County Sheriff’s Office Records | The Sheriff’s Office owns its agency records. |
| District/felony court record | District Clerk | The District Clerk provides public-access searches for district-court records. |
| Class A/B misdemeanor record | County Clerk Criminal Department | The County Clerk states that it records Class A and B misdemeanor cases. |
| Booking photo | Live roster or Sheriff Records | Do not assume that every booking photo is publicly displayed or automatically releasable. |
Sheriff Public Records Requests
The Navarro County Sheriff’s Office states that records requests must be submitted in writing. Requests may be faxed to 903-654-3044 or emailed to records@ncsotx.org.
Body-worn-camera requests require the Sheriff’s specific body-camera request form. The Sheriff also warns users not to submit a public-record request through its crime-tip portal.

If the Person Leaves Navarro County Jail
A missing Navarro County roster entry may mean release, but it can also mean transfer. Identify the actual custody path before opening unrelated jail directories.
Texas Department of Criminal Justice
If the person has entered Texas state-prison custody, use TDCJ’s official inmate search. TDCJ can provide state-custody information such as location, conviction and projected release information when available.
Federal Bureau of Prisons
For federal prison custody, use the BOP locator. BOP warns that a result showing “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody” does not prove the person is free from every other criminal-justice system.
Texas VINE
Texas VINE can provide county-jail custody information and supported notifications. The statewide number is 1-877-894-8463.
Court case but no custody
If the person has a Navarro County criminal case but is not currently incarcerated, use the County/District Clerk public-access systems rather than treating the roster as the complete case history.

Use Navarro County Booking Information Responsibly
Booking data can change after a bond, court order, transfer or release. Recheck an official source rather than relying on an old screenshot or cached third-party profile.
An arrest is not a conviction. A listed booking charge is not a final disposition. A warrant is not proof of current incarceration, and county-jail release does not necessarily rule out custody elsewhere.
Do not use public jail information to harass, threaten, stalk, impersonate or publicly shame another person. For employment, housing, licensing or another regulated decision, use the legally appropriate record and screening process instead of treating a jail entry as a final background-check conclusion.
