Okanogan County Jail Roster: Current Inmates, Bookings and Release Records
Okanogan County publishes two different official jail reports. The Daily Inmate Log lists people currently incarcerated at the Okanogan County Corrections Center, while the Daily Booking Log covers people booked during the current month and includes booking and release information.
The current inmate list is updated daily Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. That schedule matters: a Friday PDF should not be treated as proof of Sunday custody. For urgent or same-day status, call the Corrections Center directly.
Quick Answer: Use the Inmate Log for Current Custody and the Booking Log for Recent Activity
If you want to know whether someone is currently held in Okanogan County Jail, use the latest Daily Inmate Log. If you want to see a booking from the current month or understand a recent release, use the Daily Booking Log.
These are PDF reports, not a continuously refreshed name-search database. The current inmate list is only scheduled to update on weekdays outside holidays, so the report date is part of the answer.
Weekend and holiday warning
A new arrest or release may occur after the latest public inmate PDF was generated. When current custody affects bail, medication, safety, a court appearance or a long drive, call 509-422-7230.

Use the Daily Inmate Log linked from the county Booking & Inmate Log page.

Use the Daily Booking Log, which records booking activity during the current month and can show release-method and release-time fields.

Washington DOC Incarcerated SearchHow to Search the Okanogan County Jail Roster
- Open the official Booking & Inmate Log page. Start with Okanogan County, not a mugshot aggregator or copied booking directory.
- Choose the correct PDF. Open Daily Inmate Log for present custody; open Daily Booking Log for current-month booking and release activity.
- Check the report date first. The Daily Inmate Log is updated Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays.
- Match more than the name. Compare any available jail ID, booking date, age, charge, agency, court, or release fields before assuming the entry belongs to the intended person.
- Read the custody field as a snapshot. A charge, detainer, warrant or court commitment explains why a person may have entered or remained in custody; it is not a conviction.
- Use the court for the legal case. District Court and Superior Court records control filed cases, hearing changes and final dispositions.
- Recheck before acting. Verify custody and bail before paying, traveling, mailing important items or arranging transportation.
What the Okanogan Daily Booking Log Can Show
The official 2026 booking report reviewed for this article includes columns for booking date and time, jail log number, name, jail ID, age, charge, officer, agency or billing code, court, method of release and release date/time. Not every row contains every field, and one booking can contain multiple charge lines.
| Field | Useful for | Do not assume |
|---|---|---|
| Log number / jail ID | Distinguishing a particular booking or jail record. | It is the same as a District or Superior Court case number or DOC number. |
| Booking date/time | Showing when the booking was recorded. | It is the complete arrest timeline. |
| Charge / detainer / warrant | Showing the custody reason recorded in the booking report. | It is a conviction or final filed charge. |
| Agency / court code | Routing the reader toward the arresting or holding agency and court. | The arresting agency controls every later court or hold. |
| Method of release | Showing how the booking report recorded release or transfer. | It explains all release conditions or clears unrelated cases. |
| Release date/time | Showing a recorded release event. | A future estimated time is guaranteed unless the official record confirms it. |
Washington law requires an open jail register containing the name of each person confined, the hour/date/cause of confinement, and the hour/date/manner of discharge. Other jail records are generally confidential except for statutory exceptions.
No Result? Troubleshoot the Report Date Before Searching Random Jails
| Problem | Possible explanation | Next action | Official route |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arrest happened after the latest weekday PDF | The current inmate report is not scheduled to refresh on weekends or holidays. | Call the Corrections Center when same-day status matters. | 509-422-7230 |
| Name appears in Booking Log but not Inmate Log | The person may already have been released, transferred, booked-and-released or otherwise no longer in current custody. | Read the release fields and verify current status with the jail. | Booking Log + jail |
| Court case exists but no inmate entry | An active criminal case or warrant does not prove current incarceration. | Check the appropriate court separately. | District Court / Superior Court |
| DOC detainer or state transfer appears | Washington DOC may control or soon control the person’s custody. | Search DOC by name or DOC number and call the jail if physical location is unclear. | Washington DOC |
| U.S. Marshal or federal transfer appears | Federal custody may replace county custody after transfer. | Use federal custody resources only after the federal transfer is confirmed. | BOP / agency confirmation |
| Name spelling differs | A former surname, hyphenation, middle-name format or spelling variant may be involved. | Check verified name variants without assuming a missing entry means no arrest. | County logs |
Okanogan County Mugshots Are Not Part of the Public Jail Register
The Okanogan County Sheriff’s Records Division directly answers this question: jail photos are not disclosed to the public because booking photographs are considered confidential under RCW 70.48.100. The current Washington statute keeps the public jail register open while generally treating other jail records as confidential, subject to defined exceptions.
That means a third-party page promising an official Okanogan mugshot should not be treated as the county source. Use the public jail register, court record and releasable Sheriff report to verify identity and case status instead.
Booking photo ≠ conviction. Even where a photograph is lawfully used or released under an exception, it does not establish guilt, sentence or current custody.
Bail and Court Routing: District, Superior and After-Hours Procedures Differ
District Court
Okanogan County District Court handles misdemeanor and gross-misdemeanor criminal matters. The office is at 149 N Third Ave, Room 306, Okanogan, with phone 509-422-7170 and office hours 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
District CourtSuperior Court / Clerk
The Superior Court Clerk maintains felony and other Superior Court case records at 149 N 3rd Ave, Room 301. Clerk phone: 509-422-7275. In-person hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; phone service is 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Superior Court ClerkIn-custody District Court calendar
The District Court calendar page says in-custody hearings are held in the Jail Courtroom at 9:30 a.m., subject to change. The next-day calendar is generally updated between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., and evening/weekend arrests may not yet appear.
District Court CalendarWhere Bail Is Posted
For Okanogan County Superior or District Court charges, the county says bail can be posted at the applicable courthouse office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. After hours, weekends and holidays, bail can be posted at the Okanogan County Jail lobby. The jail also accepts bail for people held on Douglas County Superior or District Court charges.
Jail lobby bail is cash only. Okanogan County says the jail does not accept checks, debit cards or credit cards for bail. Bonding agencies are a separate route. Confirm the current amount, court, case and every hold before bringing cash.
The Superior Court Clerk’s payment page says the required form of bail depends on the court order, including whether the order requires cash only or permits a bail bond. Do not assume a general payment method overrides the individual court order.
Active Warrants Are Separate From Current Jail Custody
Okanogan County publishes an active-warrant list, but the Sheriff states that every warrant must be verified before a law-enforcement officer makes an apprehension. If you know the location of a wanted person, contact the Sheriff at 509-422-7232 or the appropriate local law-enforcement agency; do not attempt to detain the person yourself.
Warrant ≠ current incarceration. A person may have a warrant and not be in jail. A person may also be jailed for a new charge, DOC detainer, court commitment or other hold that cannot be reduced to a warrant search.
Okanogan County Jail Uses Virtual Visitation Only
The Corrections Center does not allow traditional in-person social visits. Public visits are conducted by video through PayTel. People with internet access can use the paid remote service; two lobby kiosk monitors provide a free on-site video option.
| Rule | Current county instruction |
|---|---|
| Free visits | Two per inmate per week, with no more than one per day. |
| Length | 15-minute maximum per lobby visit. |
| Scheduling | Visitor must schedule at least 24 hours in advance and the inmate must confirm. |
| Friday | 1:00–4:00 p.m. |
| Saturday / Sunday | 8:00–11:00 a.m. and 1:00–4:00 p.m. |
| Monitoring | Visits may be monitored and recorded. |
Phone access
Most housing modules have fee-based telephone access 24/7 except individual lockdown locations. Phone time can be purchased by the inmate through commissary or by friends/family through PayTel.
PayTel support
Visitation and phone service are provided by PayTel Communications. The county directs technical-support questions to PayTel at 800-729-8355.
Mail and Money: Use the Correct Address for the Correct Item
Ordinary personal mail goes to North Carolina
Regular non-legal correspondence is scanned for tablet delivery. Use the inmate’s name, inmate ID and facility ID 5240:
Okanogan County Jail, WA[Inmate Name], [Inmate ID number]
Facility ID 5240
P.O. Box 18247
Greensboro, NC 27419
Mail must include the sender’s complete first/last name and return address. It is limited to 10 single-sided pages per envelope. Physical mail is destroyed after scanning, so do not send irreplaceable originals.
Legal mail, money orders and approved books go to Okanogan
Okanogan County Jail[Inmate Full Name]
149 North 4th Avenue
Okanogan, WA 98840
Do not send money orders, legal mail or publisher/vendor books to the North Carolina scanning center. Legal mail must be marked “Legal Mail.”
Important wording conflict on the county mail page: its opening sentence mentions non-legal mail or money orders going to the scanning address, but the detailed rules explicitly say no money orders should be mailed to that processing center and direct money orders to the Okanogan facility instead. Follow the detailed money-order instruction and verify with the jail before mailing funds.
Lobby deposits
The inmate-account kiosk is open 24/7 and accepts cash, debit cards and credit cards.
Online deposits
The county currently links JailATM for online inmate-account funding. Confirm the inmate and provider-displayed fees before submitting money.
Commissary
Commissary orders can be placed during the week with a cutoff at midnight Sunday. Orders are traditionally received Wednesday. The county identifies Keefe as its commissary service.
Clothing uses another route. The jail accepts approved clothing only when ordered online from a retailer such as Amazon or Walmart and shipped to the inmate at 149 4th Avenue North. Clothing is not accepted in the lobby or from a personal/home address.
Sheriff Reports, Jail Photos and Court Records Are Different Records
Sheriff report
Use the county’s NextRequest/public-record route or contact Sheriff Records. The Sheriff lists Records hours Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and says a case/report number is helpful.
